Joy Luck Place (Cupertino)

We went here on the recommendation from some friends of ours that this was the place to go for good, Hong Kong-style noodles.

First up, Soy Sauce Chicken with Rice. Daniel enjoyed this dish so much, he almost ate all of the rice! When we tasted it, we knew why. The sauce had the perfect balance of sweet and savory

Annie got the Won Ton Sui Gow Lor Mein. The noodles were spot-on – thin, chewy and flavorful – but the won ton were not as good as Gum Kuo in Oakland.

My Braised Beef Brisket w/ Won Ton Noodle Soup. This beef was tasty, but tough. The broth was not as rich. I should have gone with either or but not both.

Overall, I’d say this was the best we’ve found in the South Bay as far as Hong Kong-style noodles. It’s a much shorter drive than going all the way to Oakland. We’ll definitely be back.

Aloha, Nate
